30 year old male here. For about a week or so I have had groin pain when getting an erection. It happens exactly to the right of my penis, and it extends about 1.5 inches in length. It feels like it is exactly on the base of the penis. The pain starts right when I'm getting aroused and lasts a couple seconds, so it stops randomly while the penis thickens. If I try to masturbate the pain comes back, it seems to hurt whenever I move my penis back and forth. If I leave it alone the pain will subside, until I move it again. I experience no pain at all when walking, standing or doing any other daily activity, it happens only while getting an erection or manipulating the penis. No other symptoms at all either. I had done some home leg exercises the day before the pain started, so I initially thought I might had pulled a muscle there, but like I said the pain is focused on getting an erection. There is also a possibility I might have slept over a night erection because it was morning when I first noticed the pain. There are no obvious lumps on the skin so I don't think it's a hernia. And the place where it hurts doesn't hurt to the touch, it seems to answer only to the penis. I'm positive there's no STD whatsoever as well. What do you think this might be? Like I said, I'm not in constant pain, as it happens only when getting an erection, but it has me worried for the obvious implications, and it doesn't seem to have improved so far either.
it might be because of the overnight erection you had, give it a rest to masturbation for 4-5 days n see if it improves.
I agree with the approach har is suggesting. I would suggest 3 or 4 weeks would give you a better period to judge whether this is going to clear.
In that time try taking warm showers - no not hot - or baths, basically dry yourself but then use either baby oil or lotion and lightly massage the top half of your legs including the buttocks, Be careful around your genital area - very lightly massage the penis as well with the oil or lotion. Before bed is the best time to do this then the body can potentially relax for the time you are asleep.
Try to completely forget about erections or doing anything about them for the 3 weeks and try to abstain from masturbation.
Pain is most often the body’s way of saying there is something wrong, it can fade and resolve itself, and what I have suggested can help a great deal - if the pain becomes worse go get it checked out.
Certainly if it seems you have the presence of what you describe in terms of pain for in-excess of 4 weeks you really need to see your own doctor / GP - you may even need to see a Urologist
