Growth Next to clitoris - what could it be?

hello,

I have a protruding growth next to my clitoris (right underneath the clitoral hood). I have gotten it checked by my gyno and he informed me it was nothing to worry about.

it is not painful and I don’t get any itchiness, bleeding etc. I just happened to notice it while doing a routine self check. To my knowledge, i’ve had it for at least a year (maybe longer but I never noticed it) and it hasn’t changed in size or look. I’ve tested negative for all STIs.

Should I get a 2nd opinion?

It could be a polyp, just tissue. normally left as is but if it causes pain or discomfort it can be removed.

thank you so much for the reply, Mariah! that makes me feel hopeful. It is not the most attractive thing to have but as long as it is harmless I am grateful.
