I have had a growth for 2 weeks now. It has began to subside from what it initially was, but still remains significant. I have been afraid it may be a cancerous growth such as SCC.
I included a picture if anyone could give me their take on what it could be.
Will be seeing a dermatologist soon, but just want other opinions before.
Cancer doesnt just pop up and go down like that. You probably have an infection or have a condition that causes overproduction of skin and it can cause these lesion like symptoms
I guess so. The lesion has began to dissappear. Way less noticeable. My dermatologist will be back Thursday. Hopefully it isnt something too bad
Cancerous lesions, and cancer in general do not have "come and go" symptoms. If it's a lesion or tumor, the pain, discomfort and all around symptoms from said growth remain a constant until treatment occurs. That said, SCC lesions pop up and are completely obvious. They will bleed and puss, and not heal like yours has. You have either chaffed the skin, applied too much pressure, or you have some sort of irritation formed by rubbing from clothing, or detergent in clothing.
