The past few months normally on the second (heaviest) day of my period after sleeping I stand up and straight away I get gushes of blood sometimes they have even been clots of blood..i wondered whether it was because when you are lying down at night it creates a pool of blood inside you and when you stand up that pool of blood pours out..could that be true? It's freaking me out anyone else have this? Thanks
Well usually in the day you change your tampons or towels more frequently, so it is less of a mess. If you are worried about leaking, wear a tampon and towel and then there is less chance. There are certain period painkillers which also make your flow a bit lighter, that you can get on prescription. Like naproxen or mefenamic acid.
