H pilory treatment

Hello everyone, I was just diagnosed positive for an H pilory infection through an endoscopy, doctor's going to put me on antibiotics for 14 days to try and get rid of it,does anyone have experience with this bug what side effects can I expect from the meds? is it effective and is it really going to resolve my gastritis?

Are your stomach burning??

The antibiotics are to treat h pylori rather than the gastritis which can be caused by the h pylori bug.

For gastritis, you would be given a PPI and told to eat blandly and avoid rich, spicy and fatty foods.  A food diary would help you to identify your food triggers.which will be individual to you. Gastritis can be treated or cured but it depends on whether it is chronic or the acute type.

The triple therapy can be very harsh on the stomach and you can be sore for a while afterwards.  H pylori itself can leave you with irritation for a while too.  Make sure you take yoghurt after your medication is finished to replace the good bacteria in your gut that antibiotics can destroy.  You should also get retested afterwards to make sure the bug has gone because it can be resistant to treatment and can come back.

Is more like a sore sensation I can feel even plain water ,endoscopy showed erosions in my stomach I'm little worried about the meds irritating it more
