I finally had my blood test results today which came back all clear but I'm still panicking about lymphoma. This health anxiety is a complete nightmare but if I did have this would it show up in a full blood count?
Hi there, try not to worry. Have you any symptoms at the moment? Your bloods are the best firm if checking your health because it shows any abnormalities. Try and keep positive and think it's brilliant that they haven't found anything
Well I honestly have no idea, but what made you think you have lymphoma in the first place?
I know how you feel .i have lots of ploblems bad heads i think i have a blood clot .i have pains in my chest i think its a heart attack .i have pains in my arms i think its a stroke etc .so we all think its worse then what it is .im always at the doctors ive had tests after tests and they all come back clear .so its natural .if ur worried go and see another doctor
Your white blood platelets would rise if there was a problem I believe.
Heya, the swollen lymph node is still there and the area still feels swollen and it's still quite painful but I'm not so sure if the pain is actually real anymore or if it's just the anxiety making me believe that.
It started when I found a lump in the right side of my neck, I'd had a sore throat previous to this but when I found the swollen node my right of my neck was painful and heavy and but I didn't have a sore throat. Then I Google searched th symptoms (I know, bad idea) and it came up with Lymphoma.
It's horrible isn't it, I've seen doctor after doctor about this and they all say it's a reaction from an infection but my anxiety knows better so it just becomes an endless list of appointments. I got the results for a full blood count and then I was straight on Google and came across something that said a blood test wouldn't show lymphoma, so it's back to square one.
It is awful go for a second oppinion with another doctor
Oh, well the lump was probably there due to infected throat. The throat can remain infected even after the soreness goes away. I've had a swollen lump in throat before. If you've had all the blood tests and nothing is awry then you are most probably fine and dandy. But I totally know the feeling of going through tests and doctors and not trusting them, believing they missed something or they don't know enough. And Google just fuels it.
I am going thru the cancer anxiety scare., my dr ran full cbc blood test.,mshe assured me if any counts were off, it would warrant further testing! The test will not come back and say you have lymphoma or any cancer but something would show abmpnormsl in the bloodwork! I had 2 drs and 3 nurses tell me the same! My friend has lymphoma and sometimes her bloodwotprj is off so she goes for more treatment! I do believe you are ok! My son has had an enlarged lymph node in his neck for 6 years!mit comes and goes! Our pediatrician has the same thing! There is a specific blood test to run for lymphoma! If you feel you need it to calm down, please ask! Best of luck to uoy
