2/3 weeks ago i had an external Haemorrhoid which was quite painful when I 'wiped' but I had no other symptoms. no blood in my stool. i could feel it was there when I stood and walked but it didnt really hurt. It took about 1.5/2 weeks for the pain to go away but the swelling is still there now. No pain when I wipe but i can physically feel it. Is this anything to worry about? Ive had haemorrhoids before without any real issues, probably due to my poor diet. thank you.
Pain in the A$$ right?! So again everyone heals at different rates,times. Also internal and external take different times to heal. Unfortunately the external ones are the ones you really feel,due to the swelling and nerve endings. It sucks. I had several bandings in june , but really didn’t start feeling “better” until August. And still then every time id go to the Lu , it feel slightly swollen. God for bid I strained…back 10 steps. Water,fiber,water,fiber, stool softener! clean food… repeat. You will feel it as the skin stretches to accommodate that blood , then goes away. constant cycle!
Cheers. Just nice to know it probably is nothing to worry about. I read online it should take 1 week for pain to go away but nothing about the swelling, which doesn’t really help

I have had one for about a year that only is disturbed if I make a large bowel movement. I’m in pain for a whole damn week as well! but I am too embarassed to get a doctor to look. I would assume they’d want to surgically remove it. All I keep thinking is what excuse could I come up with for work haha!
There are other options Rather than surgery. Banding, injection, coagulation. ect. but we all know that feeling!
