i had my test Friday and it came back normal.

Doctor felt masses in breast in April. I had been having pain for a few years now in my breast.

So I'm glad it came back normal but why the pain then. Breast don't like being cold and sweety. And in the middle of the night they heart so bad I sleep with a heating pad on.

Does anyone else have breast pain and discomfort? I'm getting annoyed that I keep getting pain but no answers for why.

I get breast pain and discomfort, I also got loads of cysts, and my doc told me that it could be due to my age, I'm 43 .  I also use a hot water bottle when they hurt, I'm please that yr tests came back normal.  Why don't you try evening primrose oil this is what I take and it does help with the breast pain and discomfort.  Hope that this helps.,  Liz xx

I totally agree about the Evening Primrose Oil.   I am 69 now but when I was about 45 or even younger I had been getting a lot of breast pain.  It was so bad that it became constant throught the month and hurt so much that I had to wear a bra 24 hours a day as it was too painful to take it off.  I had found a lump and was seen by a consultant and it turned out to be a cyst but he said that I had lumpy breasts anyway.  What he and the specialist breast nurse recommended was Evening Primrose Oil but it's the active ingredient in the capsules that is important.  There's something called GLA (gamma linolenic acid) and the dose he recommended is 240mg of GLA a day.   Even if the EPO capsules say 1000mg it is the GLA that is the most important.  He told me to take them for four months, to flood my body with the GLA.  I did this by finding some capsules that had 80mg of GLA in each one and taking three a day making the 240mg. I took them for the four months and miraculously the pain completely disappeared and I have never had any pain since!  I went from being in constant pain with lumpy breasts to being completely free of pain.  It's certainly well worth a try.

Thanks! For me if I am wearing a wet bra from sweeting my breasts hurt. Plus at night out of the blue they hurt.

I will check into the primrose at this point I will try anything.  I just hope I can afford it.  I have been a stay home mom way to long and my husband left us.  So I'm trying to find a job and dealing with this scare and taking care of two sick cats.
