I had a new sex partner and about 11 days after, I developed painful swelling in my vag. After a few days, small bumps appeared and a sore. I had flu like symptoms and had pain that radiated from my leg up my side over a few days time. My skin on my upper leg/side felt very sensitive and painful even with the most gentle touch. My lymph nodes close to my hips were swollen and painful. I was seen by a doctor who swabbed my blisters and told me it “looked like herpes.” The 3 swab cultures came back negative for herpes.. I have taken 3 IGG antibody blood tests.. at 5 weeks, 10 weeks, and 16 weeks after the sexual encounter. All came back negative. I have taken a full panel std test and pap smear. Everything was negative except my pap revealed I had yeast, thats all. I have not had another outbreak in 4 months since the first one. It may or may not be important to note that the bumps/blistering ONLY developed on the right side of my genital area and the pain in my body was only on the right side. I have looked into shingles but I understand it would be rare for a 25 year old although I did get chickenpox as a child. Also, during the sexual encounter he used his fingers very roughly and I was cut with his fingernails. There was trauma to my clitoral area which is where I started to notice swelling and pain before the appearance of bumps began.
The guy recently got tested and came back negative for herpes.. Has anyone experienced an outbreak like this where it wasn’t herpes? I am so confused about what happened to me.
