There is not a lot you can do and try not to fuss as this will worry your daughter . Your daughter may have had some sort of injury to her cheek and its caused a tiny bleed in the deeper tissues. If you are really worried go back to your GP who can try and hasten the appointment with the Plastic surgeon if he thinks it is getting too big or unsightly.
A plastic surgeon is the right person to sort this out.
Thx Marina
We have been able to see another plastic surgeon. He has aspired the haematoma twice already (a week apart).
The first time it was only blood.
The second time he suspects and infection may have set-in (even though my daughter has been on Keflex since the first one). The surgeon said that the infection “may be positive” as it may “push out” whatever is causing the bleeding ?
We have the opportunity to see a vascular and dermal ultrasound specialist but this would stretch our out-of pocket expenses very significantly so we are holding up on this one - trusting the surgeon for the time being,
