Happy 2nd birthday

I have not been on hear for a while but today is my second birthday of my left hip no problems with it.i also had the the right one done last January and happy with that too. Would like to say for anyone thinking about have g a hip replacement go for it. It's not an easy choice and recovery is slow but glad I did it.

Just saw an image, but can't post it. So will use the words...

HIP...HIP...HORRAY... IT'S YOUR DAY

Great to read about your successful THR experiences. I agree that recovery takes time. I'm now almost to 5 weeks since anterior left THR. Happy with my progress so far.

Great news Jill. Onwards and upwards! I definitely agree with you. I’m about 18months post op, and my hip feels great.

Hi Jill. Really glad both your hips are ok..

I had my hip done last Jan. My recovery has been steady and was finally feeling back to normal..and now I'm fearing the other needs doing,it's like my legs are so stiff and the outer side if my other hip is hurting. You said you have had both hips done. Is this what happened to you??

Hi. Great it read some positive news, I've had my appointment with specialist in January and then in late February, both cancelled thanks NHS, I'm still waiting for my time to come. 😀

All the best and great to see there is light at the end of that said tunnel lol.

Stay safe and enjoy life 😃

Just got mine done on Monday and feeling pretty good.  I’m glad to hear your doing well.  It’s my right hip but it feels so unsteady?

Yes they said it didn't need doing but I was in so much pain I ended up having it done , glad I did xx

I am only 38 and I am 5 days post op on my left hip and on March 12 I am to have my right hip replaced as well. I suffer from a rare bone deterioration disease called avascular necrosis. I have suffered for 5 years with this AVN but I am glad that I am finally getting the replacements.

Good luck i am sure you won't regret it x
