Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy new year to you all. I'm 8weeks today tkr on right knee, and boy is my left knee sore.

Feel I need rubbed out and redrew.

I'm just back from grocery shopping and I'm done....

Good luck Alan I'm hoping for my second tkr next year,

Happy new year!!!

Happy new year. I'm. 12 days post op

Apart from the usual swellings etc. I keep bruising my thigh. The legs swollen I can only think that I have been knocking in bed to cause bruise. Daft isn't it.

Robert

It's hot and muggy here in New Zealand which is causing my knee to swell and become very stiff, find myself standing in the shower pouring cold water over my legs for some kind of relief, can't win can we!

Good luck, I'm one down one to go surgeon wants to wait at least a year he's hoping that by doing one it will take some pressure off the other one, though I don't think he took in to account how hard the recovery is on ones entire body.

it's been a battle at times, but every week there is some sort of improvement. Go back to work next week after 11 weeks off - not looking forward to the long days but life goes on and I need to get back to work.

so will carry on.

Lovely message, happy new year to each and every one of you.

My arms were black and blue with the crutches I was weaning myself of them but still find I need to use one most of the time

I'm 8 weeks today.  Went out for a stroll with my hubby last night just before midnight festivities. I ditched the stick in favour of his arm and found it so much easier. Matched his step and my gait was quite even.

Very pleasant for once !

Here's hoping the new year brings us better health!

Happy new year to you all!

Happy new year Suzi.  Now I know what to do, escape to Australia and ditch the crutches. I'm 12 days. Stitches out Friday.  Then upwards and onwards Just go to stop bruising my thigh. Seems to be at night ime as I wrestle for a sleeping position.  I Am a sideways sleeper.  Back from now on if I can. All the best for 2015

Robert

Haha! It is lovely and hot here in oz so even a midnight stroll is pleasant.

You sound very positive! Try to stay that way and it will be easier. Good luck for Friday! It will begin to feel better after that.

I too am a sideways sleepers but adapted a little in the early days to my back.

At 4 weeks i could sleep on my side for a couple of hours with a cushion under the op leg.

Then it was restless time again!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Thankfully I was able to sleep on my side from day 2, though it is a marothon to turn as can't stay on the same side for extended lengths of time, I spend a lot of time in the spare bed where I can spread out so I'm partially on my side and back and on these occasions I sleep most the night.
