Happy Thanksgiving my fellow BPH sufferers

Just want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. Even though we all suffer to various degrees we have a great deal to be thankful for our freedoms in this wonderful Land. Please thank a vet if you should see one and if you ARE one, then I am most grateful to you and thank you! Howard

Good Morning Howard

Yes we all have a lot to be thankful for. We have peace, friends and family. We also have our BPH buddy’s I consider you all friends. We all have that bond even if we are all over the world.

We are going to spend time with family’s on Thursday. We need to enjoy the day and forget about our prostate problem for at least one day because they will be there on Friday.

Myself I will be alone being that my daughter and her family is out of town. And my one son is working and the other has to go by his in-laws. You men know how it is you have to make the wife happy

I will talk to them during the day but when my son comes home at 9 PM. I will have dinner with him. Had Thanksgiving a few weeks ago when My sister and her family were here. I have all ready started yesterday have some stuff cut up for my stuffing. I think I am going to make a Turkey Stuffing Casserole. Much easier and quick

Sorry to get sentimental. But I miss the good old day. When my parents were alive. Holiday’s are not the same anymore. When I’m by myself I sit and think about them. How nice it would be to have them here to see how my kids turned out.

I was the youngest of 5. I was always told I was a after thought. My brother and 3 sister were all out of the out by the time I was a teen. They all say I was spoiled. I tell you the truth I was. I was the only one that stayed home till I got married. I was 25.. My parents are gone. My Mother is gone for 33 years and my Father 20. Well I’m getting off track

I wish you all Fun and Happiness with your Family’s. Don’t eat to much Turkey…Ken

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to my friends across the pond .
All the best from The UK

Thank you…Enjoy your day…Ken

Yes. A BPH sufferer can appreciate what a gift “freedom from” can truly be.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and all here as well.

Hi Howard:

I am a veteran and thanks for the recognition. You have a great Thanksgiving as well.

Dave

Hi Ken:

Best to you, Man! You are the glue that keeps this forum together.

Dave

Thanks Ken and everyone for responding . We are all pioneers in our way in dealing with this chronic disease and other problems. I know we all wish Jimjames a speedy return to health and to this forum and that the only discomfort he should feel is from over-eating tomorrow and too much football! Time goes so quickly - I concur with you Ken on all you write and could add so much more as we all could. Take care. Howard

Dave

Thank you…Ken

Howard

Thank you for you kind words. We all have to stick together. Jim is taking one day at a time. He will be back when all is better.

I wish I felt better. In Florida I hate the change in weather. It’s not cold like some of the other states but when you go from high 80’s to low 60’s you do get a chill. Woke up the last 4 days with a sore throat. Feel like ( with a capital S )

Right now getting the chills having a little problem typing. I have a oil heater in my bedroom I just but it on to get the chill out. Don’t know if I am coming down with the flu or not. Hope it not Pneumonia had that 2 years. I had the shot but I guess it did not help

Sorry guys I have to go lay down. Starting to shake. Excuse me. You guys and your problem are very dear to me

Ken

Ken –

(Perhaps we can “thank” BPH for enrolling us in the Academy of Older Men. A high price to pay, perhaps. But look at what we have in common – right down to missing Mom and Dad around the holidays. When you celebrate your parents’ 100th birthdays long after their passing, that urge to join them gets a tad more obvious. But then you consider what you have in this life – your BPH friends prominent on the list. (It is interesting, how you remember the Mom and Dad moments from way back in your little boy years. For me, it was visiting Santa at Macy’s in NYC…and then hot chocolate by the big tree in Rockefeller Center. I live in the Midwest now and the memories leave me sad as they are moments no more.. But then January comes and life goes on. And oh yes – it is 26 degrees outside now where I live. Can’t wait for our twice-annual escape to AZ. Florida also…not bad! Count your blessings…

Thank you

I do count my blessing. I just wish they were here to see how my kids and grand kids turned out. But you can say without them I would not be here and my kids.

I grow up in Detroit went through a lot of snow. Been in Florida since 1992 Love it here. It’s 63 now but I guess it is true what they say. If your here for a while your blood thins

We all have to remember our loved one that have moved. I know I will…Ken
