I've had this hard bump on the shaft of my penis for about a year now. I've been to the doc and they told me it will go away but it still hasn't. Any idea what it is?

It’s likely to be a sebaceous (epidermoid) cyst. It may resolve on its own…then again it may not! If it is not interfering with penile function (i.e. passing urine and having sex), I would probably ignore it. If it is, then you might consider having it excised under local, but there is a risk of scarring.
