I have a really hard layer of skin on very specific spots of my hand, like the right side on my middle finger's nail, which doesn't itch, nor it peels, but it feels very very uncomfortable. I've tried putting my finger on water and then cutting the dead skin, like when someone has a hangnail, however, the hard skin is not dead! When my finger dries off again, the skin is still tough but not dead, nor dry. I've gone to many dermatologists and, at first, they thought I had cysts on my ovaries, or allergies but I don't. I don't know what to do, please help!
