Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone else has hardness under their incision? I don’t mean the skin around the incision being tight, but maybe a tendon or muscle being almost rock hard underneath it. I know that the muscles and tendons can react to trauma, and likely that is what this is, but wondering if it is common. Thank you!

Happy Easter Ayanna1208! Thank you for responding!! I was just at my doctor’s office less than a week ago and FORGOT to ask about it! There were so many questions I wanted to get answers to and that one just went right out of my head. Sigh. I reminded myself that he did touch my incision site and said nothing and there is no way he could have missed the hardness. Logically I figured it was just trauma that will right itself with time, but the other part of my brain tends to go off the deep end with worse case scenarios. So glad you asked the nurse! That makes me feel so much better. You have been such a great support, thank you! Wishing you and your family a very happy Easter and may you all be protected from Covid-19 as well! Peace!

is it metal? my plate is very noticeable when you touch it or tap on it
Hi Tom,
It’s possible, I have skinny legs to begin with, then lost all my muscle tone, so it could be the plate I am feeling. Don’t like the idea of that! But I am now on my feet with the help of crutches, so I can begin to break up the surgery adhesions and rebuild my muscle tone. What a long process, huh? Hope you are doing well in yours and thank you for replying! Wishing you and yours safety and happiness!!
