Hi everyone. How is everyone else with PV doing? I have been managing in spite of the heat here in S. California. It has been 105 here this week. I have to wash my hair every day because my head sweats when I work out. Lots of people have been not coming to curves because of the heat. However, curves has good air conditioning and lots of fans too. I have also been going to the gym. I still get weird things wrong with me now and then, but have managed to do my workouts. Talk later,

Goodness me i really don't think I could cope with that heat. It's only been about 65 to 70 over here in England and I have found that difficult with the sweats. My son has been in Orlando for the last 3 months and has struggled with the heat. Still waiting to see haematologist to discuss next treatments as venesection alone not working. The last blood test showed I have vitamin and mineral deficiency so have injections and medication so this has had to be treated and held up my other treatments. But not long now until I get some news.
Hope you stay well. Regards Theresa
Hi Theresa, yes, I remember at first I just blood draws. Later on, I was put on Hydroxyurea. Now, after almost three years, I don't usually need to have blood draws. My meds do make me low on iron and vitamin B. However, I do not replace it, as long as my blood count doesn't go lower than it shd be.I always feel fine, except when I get overheated from working out in hot weather. I will be happier when winter comes. Thanks for the reply,
Marla
Hello there - can anyone let me know how they are coping with the tiredness as I find myself falling to sleep at every opportunity. Some days are better than others. It is the overwhelming tiredness that I have no control over. I have just started back at the gym a couple of times a week and not too bad so far. Do things get better as I have only been diagnosed at the beginning of this year and is it more age related as I am now 80? Thanks
