Has 15 years of meds impaired my cognition

When I first got on meds at age 15, it was just ADD and anxiety. Over the years it has become depression, and memory impairment. I am only 30 and unable to focus or retain information. I have written a case on myself with an anonymous name in hopes to donate it to psychology universities to assess and explores theories. Yet find it discouraging that most of treatment is based on self reported symptoms from the patient and educated guesses. All I know is when I die I am donating all organs and want my brain to be used for mental health research.

Interesting I've been on meds 25 yrs I am 39 I ran a care home for 10 yrs.. over the last 3 years my memory is so bad. I could not even think of doing the things I did I can't remember days. I can't recall things from an hour ago also I forget what I'm saying mid sentance. I have never thought this untill 3 years ago. Now I read your post and am ging to look into it. It's upsetting when you can get remember or recall anything and can be embarrassing.

I think leaving your brain and organs to help is a great thing you can do. I hope you can get some answers. It's got me thinking too. .. vicky

I wonder if it does. We wouldnt be told anyway. They make way too much on it to stop it. Half of American is medicated. Imagine all of them weaning off so scary.  But they are despising people who smoke cigarettes now because it is unhealthy, they want them in meds too to stop...this world is odd. Its all about the money so for them to admit it can imoair anything wont happen until its the majority.
