I had radioactive iodine treatment in 2013. Since then it's been a battle to even be prescribed 150mg levothyroxine. My symptoms are still present especially the tiredness and the weight gain. I've be reading about Cytomel a T3 medicine. My doctor won't test for rT3 but I want to try Cytomel as a balance. Anyone have any experience?
Can you share your latest test results? Your doctor is obliged to give them if you ask.
This would enable a meaningful discussion and advice. I took Cytomel for a few months and it upped my T3 but did not help my symptoms.
I don't have my results to hand. I've just requested them from my GP but have to jump through hoops to get them. Thanks for your reply Dave64969.
