I was prescribed 20mg daily two weeks ago. I was in a very dark place a few weeks ago due to personal reasons and was finding it very hard just to function. I still have the problems that put me in that position, but it seems as though the Fluoxetine has made me think more clearly and life doesn't seem all doom and gloom.

Hi Christine, I have never taken this particular medication but it seems to me that you are showing signs of improvement after only two weeks which is good, so I suggest you stick with it. Gwen
Hi, such wonderful news that this medication is helping you in this very effective and positive way. I believe that sometimes, the dose is to high, or a prescribed specific medication is an ineffective medication that is toxic to that person, and it is great that you are experiencing this very effective medication. Being able to think more clearly and having the doom lifted is such a perfect response. I believe highly in cognitive therapy or counseling as additional help, if needed to transition through this.
