A few weeks ago I went to the bathroom and after I wiped there was a very small amount of blood. A very small amount. I freaked out but it hasn't happened until today. Again, a small amount. Less than if you were to get a small cut. Maybe the amount of a paper cut. There is no blood in the toilet nor in my stool. Just when I wipe and it's only one wipe then it is gone. I am seriously freaking out. The blood is bright red and again, very small amounts. This happen to me like 6-7 years ago for like a day or two and then it went away. I have no other symptoms and I am a little sore from wiping. Has this happened to anyone else? I do not need to hear "go to the doctor'. I just want to know if anyone has had this experience. I have gone to the bathroom since the initial incident and no blood. Well just a speck. The diameter of a needle so very little. I am seriously freaking out!!
Could it be a hemorrhoid?
I get that a,lot because I have interior and exterior hemorrhoids. Some bleed a little and others more.
Believe it or not, sometimes you can wipe a little too hard without realizing it! Also, sometimes if the stool is stiff, it could cause small cuts in the area as it exits. These things happen and should not be worried about too much.
I was reading about it. I don't think there are external hemorrhoids but there could be internal hemorrhoids. I would think if was anything serious I would have more symptoms or bleed more. I just have a hard time with anything abnormal as I am sure most of us do.
I have bled a little in the past from wiping too much but it's always been after I have wiped a million times. This is like the first wipe then not much after. I have gained weight and I know that can make hemorrhoids worse.
Claire its classic big poop or spikey poop cutting your bummy on the way out love that or hemoroids either way you are fine and your existence will not plummit into the toilet bowl hope this helps
I had a small amount of blood after eating raw cabbage a few days in a row. Not slaw . just raw cabbage
Possible anal fissures, basically tiny cuts/tears. It's nothing to worry about, because you'll be just fine.
Thank you. Of course I think the worst! When it happens it's like a day. Maybe two. This is the third time in my life. Never alot of blood so I have to keep telling myself I am ok.
Yes I have done this and there could be a few reasons for it and I'll explain 1 hemorriod it can make you bleed when wiping and 2 not to scare you but it could be the start of IBD I have this and I do bleed through my bowels when I flare. To ease your mind go see a Dr i know you didn't want to hear that but it's best to get any bleeding from the rectum checked out.
My doctor said I have IBS but I didnt really believe it. What are your IBS symptoms?
Ibs is totally different from ibd ibs is just things you eat causes your bowels to get irritable and cause cramping,dirreah, and nausea, with ibd it doesn't matter what you eat it's an autoimmune disease of the large bowel causing your colon to attack itself and causimg severe cramping dirreah and bleeding through your bowels weight loss fever joint pain and swelling it's incurable unless your colon is taken out. As with ibs it doesn't damage the colon at all and doesn't cause bleeding.
Haemhoroids spring instantly to mind.
Go and see your doctor. Fresh blood from the rectum and not in the stool is usually piles.
