For three months I have been taking PPI's waiting for a miracle to happen with my breathing, but it doesn't seem to change. The globus is gone unless I push physical activity too hard, the nausea is gone thank gawd as that was horrible, the mucus is gone but the darn breathing issue is still there. Can anyone give me some advice or explanation of why this is always there? I cannot take a deep breath and some days are better than others. When I lay down the breathing is good, I usually can't wait to go to bed just because it takes the pressure off to lay down. Not being able to take a deep breath makes me weak and tired.
Call your GI and aske them if they did a eosinophilic esophagitis
Morning I too have the breathing problem along with the rest of the symptoms the only thing that seems to ease it is no tight closthes anywhere and the best place to be is in a hot steam shower or the old fashion inhale steam over a bowl of hot water with a towel over your head for temporary relief ,unfortunately stress aggravates the problem on the breathing. Like you going to bed is bliss the symptoms ease when I'm asleep or I just don't notice them till morning and it all starts again.
If it gets no easier go back to your docs as the Meds might not suit you.
hope it eases for you soon
Hi, that is so funny you mentioned the steam, I take a sauna and it feels great in there, it seems like everything melts away. I know what you mean about the clothes, I love the new stretch jeans. These days after losing so much weight I don't worry too much about tight fitting clothes. I have yet to read anyone's forum that states they took PPI's and now they can breathe better, however, I have read when they have surgery they can breathe better. This is so frustrating when I try and eat right and do everything else that I can do to help myself and still no breathing improvement. Wish there was a magic pill for this affliction. Thank you for
