i have the appointment tomorrow but my anxiety is through the roof. is this herp or what else could it be?
so i have been to the GUM clinic today
GP confirmed with results within 15 mins BV. They have taken swabs and bloods and I have to go back to the clinic in Wednesday for the results with the Gp
they have sent me away with suspected herpes (aciclovir 400mg antibiotic for it) a numbing cream to help with irritation and burning, (metronidazole antibiotic 200mg for BV)
i will keep you all posted with the outcome.

hi anna, so i received my results today and tested positive for HSV1. im feeling positive and upbeat about it because honestly it really only is a skin condition and has a stigma because it is on the genitals. have you any advice?
and i must admit, i had the most amazing doctor! no judgment. advised me it is so common and most people have the virus. he told me not to let it impact negatively in my sexual activity and to continue as normal but to ensure protection is used especially during OBS! we got this!
