Thanks for this kind of sad update. I had PF for 2 years. Shock wave therapy helped a little but now it’s back where it was. Will try amniox and then minimally invasive (topaz) surgery if that doesn’t help. There is always amputation!!
Hope you feel better
Trish, did you see improvement? i had an amniotic injection into my achilles bursitis S 5 weeks ago, a lot of stiffness and some nerve pain
i get my clearx flo shot thurday hope it works i cant take the pain any more .
had the injection 2 weeks ago thursday foot hurts but now in the instep still some pain on the heel. hurts worse then before the shot might have to get a second after the six week mark. does it get better after the second shot or should i just plan on surgery.
How is he doing from the shot? I just had the amniotic injection in my left foot today. Seems I have what’s is known as Dupuytren’s contracture but in my foot. I have DC in both hands and now my left foot.
You mean there’s more then 1 shot to be given? Ugh! I just had my first one today in my left foot. Hurt like a SOB! I’ve had 7 cortisone shots in my time in my hands and elbows and won’t have any more of those. It hurt as much as the cortisone shots. I was told it wouldn’t. I’m afraid to walk on that foot cause I don’t want to screw up the shot. Don’t know if that’s possible. Been searching on line but can’t find the answer. Do you know? ![]()
Christine, are you talking about PRP injection? I have that April 2020 and wasn’t successful at all for me. I hope it helps you.
Thank you for all the valuable information. I am considering an amniotic fluid injection for advanced mid foot pain due to osteoarthritis.
I had AmnioFix for plantar fascitis in 2018. It has cured my foot. Today I had it injected into my left foot. I’m planning for it to heal my left same as the right.
I also had this injection 4.5 weeks ago…
Horrible, I’m worse bow than before the injection. The first 7 days could not stand or even put weight on foot the pain was so severe…
The next 3.5 weeks could only walk with a well padded CAM boot. Pain severe and still very swollen. Podiatrist basically said i guess you had some kind of reaction. He then said lets watch and wait…
I went to orthopedic doctor for second opinion. He said this certainly is not normal and was upset the first doctor didn’t get an MRI, he sent me right for MRI.. awaiting results.
My conclusion and learning point.., Podiatrist can clip my nails or fix ingrown nail. For they went to podiatry school.
If I want true medical help or medical opinion/surgery go to an orthopedic doctor he has much more knowledge and education.
