After a surgical complication and 3 YAG capsulotomies to remove excess capsular material, I now have been referred to a retina specialist as I have significant swelling in my retina.
I am familiar with a variety of treatments used for macular issues (parent had macular degeneration), and I am writing to ask if anyone on this forum has any personal experience with the injections?? that you’d be willing to share,
Thanks,
katzenjammer
I have had the 3 eye injections (leucentis) for a venous retinal occlusion. Didnt work for me. subsequently 2 eye steroid implants. waiting to see if the second one has any effect on the sight, condition of the eye, and the oedema behind the eye. I live in hopes!
Thank you for your reply Josephine! I was starting to give up hope.
Can I ask you -
Did your Dr. try drops at all to decrease the swelling in the retina?
Secondly, what was your experience with the injections? Was there a lot of pain? I can’t imagine how hard it will be to keep still.
Thank you again for sharing, and I’m hoping everything goes well for you with the implants.
