I’ve had Hashimotos for a few years never seen an endo just my pcp I really need to. I called and set up and ENT appt cause I’ve been having a raspy voice it will go in and out my ears ring or get muffled constantly and I feel like something is always in my throat and I cough constantly I’m sick of dealing with it . I noticed yesterday that the right side of my neck is swollen and and there’s a lump idk if it could be my lympnodes or what. I’m trying not to worry myself to death any idea what’s going on? Or advice
Tiffany, I suggest you get an ultrasound on your thyroid. That should tell what’s going on. Surprised your doc hasn’t recommended that.
My doctor is a joke I need a new one . I had a uti and they called me an entire month later to tell me I actually had one after saying I didn’t 🙄. He’s on vacation right now I requested a referral for an endo but he can’t give it to me until he comes back so I took it upon myself to schedule with an ent since I didn’t need a referral for that my appts on Monday .
Unclear. Actually had what? 😬
I too felt like I had a golf ball in my throat (I still do). I was diagnosed with hashimotos disease. That presents as a goiter. I suspect that's what u have. No operation needed as the goiter is very small. I take synthroid and liothyronine daily.
A uti , I was just stating how awful the practice was . It took them a month to tell me I had a uti .
Thank you that does make me feel better ! My grandma and her mom had thyroid cancer so I’m freaking out , but trying not to go to the worst case scenario .
Both your mother and grandmother having thyroid cancer leaves you more genetically susceptible to thyroid cancer. Or your relatives may have been exposed to similar environmental conditions. When you see your endo you should take as much information as possible about your mother and grandmother, age of occurrence, where they lived, death certificates, type of cancer etc. This may help expedite genetic testing. Good Luck
