Hi I'm Charlie I'm 22
Last 8 weeks had the odd bit of blood in my stool and some mucus aswell.stool colour varies from yellow to light brown,recently been needing to go toilet a lot more and stomach feels up with gas my gp thinks I have ibs because of my age,as it's too rare to have bowel cancer
Had 2 types of blood test done came back as normal and a stool sample normal,would that dectect anthing like cancer ?? Going back to my gp next Thursday to ask my question,I'm just so lost can stop thinking about it's ruining my life
Hi Charlie I'm having the same trouble at the moment but I'm 50. I have ibs but I also have hemprriods which can bleed after a bowel movement, so maybe you have the same. Hope this helps you abit x
Hi Charlie, the tests would have detected any cancer so that can be ruled out 100%, ibs is your gps diagnosis but these things will go as quickly as they came.
Has your GP given you anything to help?

And no he hasn't gave me anything,going back next Thursday for a brief chat about the next step,I don't know why or what it is but I still believe I have cancer worry me sick but asking for a colonoscopy sounds silly but only thing to really put my mind at ease
