Having a ruptured disc does the colder weather make the symptoms worse

I am suffering from a ruptured disc for the last 7 months and during the last week when the temperature has dropped, I am wandering if this is why my leg pains have increased.

I have the same problem. The leg pain is due to the brachial nerve. When the nerves from the spine give out the wrong signals to the rest of the body, this is one of the results. I have leg pain also and have been in hospital when both my hands turned blue.

hi barry,

the leg pain is probably the sciatic nerve thats been damaged or traped due to the ruptured disc, i had a discetomy 28yrs ago & still get terribly pain in my left leg and ankle. I also fractured my ccoyx and this year i broke my hip & ended up with post opp sciatacia the pain was hurendous so they put me on pregablin & this cold weather has realy annoyed it so dr has increased dose to two 300mgs twice a day & the sciaticia hs been under control for weeks now. it feels great to be able to walk with no pain shooting down my leg. so xmas is going to be great

i hope you have a pain free xmas see your doc & ask if you can try some pregabalin, no harm in asking its a nerve damage medication

best of luck
