Hi all

Is everyone on setraline still having alcohol if so any effects ?

Nope, my pharmacist said no alcohol as Sertraline intensifies the effect, New Years with sparkling water

I had a lot of alcohol xmas day and stephens day defo wouldn recomend as anxiety very bad for next few days . Had to take a couple of xanax .

Alcohol is fine in moderation, but I certainly wouldn’t recommend drinking alcohol while your in your start up stages and still experiencing side effects.

Once your completely settled in a regular dosage, then the odd drink here and there wont hurt.

But the general rule of thumb with Sertraline is -

1 drink is the equivalent of 2,

2 drinks are the equivalent of 4 and so on and so on. 

If your generally a heavy drinker, I would advise to avoid alcohol completely. But with a meal, or light socialising, then its fine. Hope this helps 🌹
