I came of citalopram after taking 30mg a day for 2 years. I dropped to 20 for two weeks then 10 for two weeks then came off them completely. I didn't get side effects at first but then I started feeling dizzy all the time and felt like I had the flu. then after about 2 weeks I had a panic attack. So decide to go bk on them. MY doctor would only start me at 20mg and almost instantly I felt like myself again. It's been about three weeks now and I've noticed when I'm just chilling watching TV I feel like I'm struggling to breathe like shortness of breath it doesn't last long but it's scary. I'M just wondering if I should get my doctor to up me bk to 30 or is it just size effects. any advice would be great fully appreciated wish I'd not stopped them now
I was on citalopram i never had the shortness of breath but we are different in one way or another. Now i did come off citalopram i had the flu like symptoms for up to 6 to 9 months i would cycle everwhere and coming off these meds can be hard. If your suffering anxiety you can 100 percent suffer breathing problems. Im on effexor 300mg without the medication i can not breath at night . I hope you have some luck with what you decide.
