Having total hip replacement on left hip on Monday

Just let you know. I'm having left total hip replacement Monday 27 Apri . Have to get to the hospital. 7'30a . Yes I'm scare . But I know I'm in safe hand .

Just had mine done this Tuesday. You will be fine. Hope the hospital is as good as mine was . Lots of luck to you 😊😊

Hi Gilly , dont worry , I had a double hip replacement and I too was scared but now I think , what was I worried about . Take it easy and all will be fine , all the best Ruth

Hi Gilly --- Oh those pre-op jitters !!! i am 5weeks post-op - The anticipation was nerve wrecking for me - but once I was in the hospital, in my room, in the charming gown, I surrendered and was at peace - no other way to go ... couldn;t even run away :-) --- and then I woke up and it was over - stay in the hospital was wonderful and I felt very safe and taken care of - the going home part was challenging for me as I live alone - and then I found this forum ! Please come back here - so much support and understanding and encouragement -

Good luck, use this site post op, it is very reassuring. No two people are the same. Go at your own pace. Let us know how you get on.

Good luck you and any others lined up for this op. You have been very lucky to find this place beforehand. I only found it afterwards and had huge pre op wobblies but I'm sure they wouldn't have been half as bad had I been able to read the experiences on here.

As everyone says, you will be fine. I don't know what I was worried about!

Come me back and tell us all about it, once it's all over.
