Hey,
Wondering if anyone has any advice. I have been having a horrid time past few months. I've recently found out I'm a bit anaemic and i'm going back next week for another blood test.
I think that's what has really prepelled this problem but I'm having what I can only describe as... Being on the edge of a panic attack, for days on end. It comes & goes and can be better or worse but it never seems totally gone.
Thing Is I don't know if it's serious or just anxiety. I spent the day with friends today and didn't feel any troubles until I left to go home when suddenly I felt breathless. This makes me feel it's in my head but I don't want to assume because what if it's serious?
I also get pain around my spleen/abdomen. I've told 3 doctors & given the anaemia too I thought it'd be important but no one's really checked.
I've had panic attacks before. But they don't feel like those exactly. I'm not breathing too quick, it's more so that I feel like if I don't focus on breathing I won't be able too and I'm left breathing hard after small things like drinking water. Though moving seems to have no effect.
Is this paranoia because of anaemia? Not having oxygen in the blood... It's a scary thought. And I know I do have anxiety. But I'm just scared...
Thank you.
Hi honey. I can't say as I'm not your doctor. But anemia is very treatable with the right diet and supplements. As far as the breathing, it is very very common to have a hard time with breathing when you are having a panic attack. There are tons of tips you can learn to use to ease this and they work! Our bodies and minds are more powerful than panic. I know it may not seem that way sometimes but it's true. Yoga, deep belly breathing exercises, pressure points, etc. Do yourself a favor and become educated on these tips and you will gain control of this ☺️☺️☺️
I looked up some good breathing techniques and I feel a little better! I need to dedicate some time every time to wellness. x___x Thank you for your suggestions! So you don't think it's anything serious?
Dedicating time for self care is so important! I'm so glad to hear you say that. Learn all you can about anxiety and panic so you will understand better how to hanfle it. You are ok! 😊
My chest feels very numb. It comes and goes---I had it for a few days last week then nothing for 4 days and now it's back. Particularly if I am lying or leaning on my left side. It's always my left side chest/upper abdomen that feels numb. I first described it as my lung feeling like it wasn't working.
But my pulse and BP are all fine. And if I do fall asleep I never wake up struggling to breath so I don't know if the breathing is an added panic of the numb feeling.
I told my GP about it and an emergancy room doctor (when I was there for nosebleeds.) I ended up finding out I have anemia and so naturally I was worried about my spleen as it's in that area too. No one checked it and I'm just growing ever more worried.
