Does anyone else experience random head pains sometimes mild sometimes severe, or constant head pressure? Or headaches I feel like I'm the only one I have something going on in my head everyday and it's always one of these three right now I have a head pain on top of my head feels like some things sat on my head I hate it makes me anxious everyday
Yes lots. Anxiety causes so many headaches. Also causes people to have tender areas on scalp. Are you on meds to calm you down?
I also get a tender scalp and nope I was on citalapram but I'm pregnant can't be on them now until babies born x
Tender scalp is classic anxiety/stress symptom coupled with headaches. Do your headaches move around or stay in the same place? I had to go back on meds after I was 20 weeks pregnant as I was doing more harm to baby off them than being on them. I.e I wasn't eating properly, was so stressed, couldn't stop crying, bring sick etc. I was also given a sedative to help relax me (like Valium but not that)
Well the head pressure is always in the same place but the headaches are different I think my head just constantly feels full and heavy I hate it, aw no way bless you how are you now
I'm sure if it was anything sinister then the headache would be in the same place. To check pressure - go to optician and they will be able to do a test to check pressure behind the eye. You are fine, just anxious.
I've been everything is fine they said
So keep that as your mantra - your headaches move around and the pressure feeling is not pressure inside your head caused by something sinister but by anxiety. Trust in your body.
This is how my anxiety is for me,terrible head pain pains,it's like every thought is painful I'm convinced I'm going insane when it strikes. From what I can see in this forum most people's anxiety revolves around heart pain or head pain so I guess it's pretty common, but so distressing when it strikes and difficult to shift, mine lasts for weeks I take an occasional diazepam I took one yesterday so not so bad today, have so many issues around diazepam it's a vicious circle. Anyway just to let you know your not alone.X
Thank you It really is horrible I always think it's something serious like a brain tumour x
Hi shaunie!
I've replied to one of your posts before I think. But let me tell you that YES it is common and NO you don't have a brain tumor. I just had a CT scan and an MRI with and without contrast because I was so worried about having a brain tumor. It's like a migraine but not so much pain. It's more of a pressure feeling and it has affected my ear to where it feels like an ear infection. My ear feels like it's plugged up. And I sometimes have ringing in my ears. So this is anxiety and not a brain tumor because everything else has came back normal for me, including blood work. It can also be your hormones because you're pregnant, did you think of that? I'm not pregnant but I am on the nexplanon birth control implant and it tricks your body into thinking you're pregnant. My main side effect was a horrible headache. Try to relax and trust me, it helps when you talk to yourself and let yourself know that you're okay. I usually lay down, take a deep breathe, and tell myself that this is just my anxiety. A symptom from anxiety and it will go away.
Yes I've also put it down to hormones just still worries me! I need to stop worrying because I'm causing it to be there more and more and I don't sleep well because I'm pregnant and have a toddler so finding the time to relax at the moment is impossible the kyle for your reply and I'm glad your results and everything were good ones
