Headache for 3 weeks

I have just not felt like myself the last couple months and I decided to take a trip to the ER yesterday where I had another neurological test done and I passed without a problem and the doctor suggested I do a head CT scan. I did that and she said 100% I do not have any brain illness such as stroke, tumor etc. The headache is very mild and one day its on one eyebrow the other day its on the other and sometimes its in the middle. I also experience some muscle spasms and my left cheek has an odd pressure/numb feeling that comes and goes. The day before I went to the ER I also went to my ophthalmologist who said my eyes looked perfect. Is this all anxiety? Im seeing my neurologist tomorrow

Urine test - normal

Electrolyte - normal

CBC- normal

Kidney/liver test - normal

CT Head - Normal

I am not sure if there was a contrast before the CT scan. They gave me two square like pills before I had the scan...not too sure what it was for but she said it was for the gut and the brain. I also do suffer greatly from anxiety

I’ve had for weeks and seems not going away. I drove myself to ER yesterday cuz I had this burning sensation on my chest, back and felt like I had heart attack. I know I had anxiety attack the past few weeks ... now they’re telling me I have GERD. ;(

Hello, you have a good question. I have anxiety, and have my whole life. Although I am now almost off of all anxiety meds, I suffer from migraines. I found that my headaches have certain triggers. As a matter of fact, panic attacks can trigger headaches for me because it did yesterday. A major trigger that alot of people don't seem to hear about are food allergies. I am allergic to chicken, poultry so I have to be very careful when going out to eat because headaches are triggered by food cross contamination. I had to figure it out the hard way by eliminating one food at a time out of my diet and make sure that was the culprit...along with allergy testing. Yes you are correct about anxiety induced headaches. Stress is a big factor . If you grind your teeth, it will cause stress, or tension headaches as well. Good luck. I put a ton of info on here, so I hope it sheds some light,  but I do understand and empathize with you.

I'm almost positive that you have one of two things wrong. It could be just a steady migraine situation (ask doctors for steroids the keep it away once gone) or it could be even just so much stress and anxiety is causing you to manifest as a migraine but either way I would still ask for the neurologist to give you lidocaine injections and then the other Medicine steroids as well. But think about going to a therapist or psychiatrist because they can give you help with anxiety medication but also and most important they can help you with ways to get your anxiety under your control. Best of wishes and Good bless you. Ana
