I'm having headache since long time. i'm wearing spectacles, the power of which is -3.75.

May I ask you when you last had a thorough eye test? It is difficult to know where to start without that bit of information.

I only ask you this as the spectacles issue may well be a red herring.

Then please go to see your GP, or if you do not wish to do that just pop-in to your local chemist for BP and BG tests.

In that case, a visit to your GP would be better advised than your Optician, and I can see you have received that advice from another contributor, so I echo that.

Let me just say that I am sorry you are in pain. Usually I would advise anyone that has experienced a headache for three continuous days or longer to seek further medical advice, so I recommend that very strongly in your case just as I would for anyone else with the same condition.

Remember that if you are taking painkillers of any kind without medical supervision, it is essential that you follow the dosage instructions, especially if you are using Paracetamol.

If the pain becomes unbearable and you have taken the maximum recommended dose for a 24 hour period, DO NOT be tempted to take an extra couple of tablets. You will exacerbate the problem. Seek medical help and advice straight away. You don't need to wait for a GP appointment, just go to your local chemist and speak to your Community Pharmacist.
