Headache

I've had a headache a few hours after taking celexa. Its been like this for a few days. Should I be worried?

It's a common side effect..

Hey Debra,

I agree with Lois its  definetly a side effect of Celexa. I also think it could be your anxiety. I know before I started taking it I had awful headaches. I would go for accupuncture and I got relief for a while. As I'm on 10 mg in my 5th month I sometimes get a pain at the top of my head. I do attribute it to either anxiety or celexa or lack of sleep. Don't be worried. Do tell your MD. My doctor had told be it will dissipate. I did have MRI's both with and without contrast and I was clean. 🙏🏻

keep us posted of how you progress.

No, don't worry. That's common.

Hi Debra, not sure if you are in the UK or not, but immediately thought of the weather we are having plus meds could effect your water balance.  I am a migraine sufferer and the first thing I do when it starts is drink water.  Headaches are common on meds.

Hello Will, how are you feeling now?  have you recovered from your tooth infection?

I'm in the us. I usually don't have migraines. I've been drinking lots of water also. Do this happen all the time or is it just a nother darn side effect? That will hopefully go away?

Its a side effect, you need to give yourself time to settle on this.

Thank you everyone for you replys.

Hi Paula,

What a horror it was. My infection was obviously very bad. I was on antibiotics for 3 weeks. The endodontist finally closed up my tooth on Wednesday. He told me the infection is gone. The pain now in my gum is from the infection which created a hole in my bone. The bone needs to close by itself which will take 2 weeks to a couple of months. Luckily it only hurts if I press on my cheek. For my first root canal this really sucked. I’m putting off getting the cap until the gum is better.

Thanks for checking up on me. It means a lot. How are you doing???

Oh Will, that sounds horrendous, poor you, at least you are over the worst and know exactly what is going on now, get better soon. Me, am feeling the best I have felt in over 3.5 years, everything makes me smile now even things healthy people take for granted, I am loving my new life. Still get side effects from cita but its nothing compared to what I have had. Thank you!
