So for the past 6 months I have been so scared of having a Brian aneurysm, my panic attacks get so bad that I have to stay home from work sometimes and I feel like I can’t function. Any weird pulse or pain I have in my head makes me feel like I am having one. I had an mri done about 2 months ago and it was clear, I have had 3 ct scans before that. I am on three medications for headaches and for anxiety. I am 21 years old and the doctors say I am so healthy. Would I know if I was having a brain aneurysm? I always think I need to go to the hospital. Right now I keep getting this bulging feeling in my right temple and i think of course that it is one about to burst. Also if I get hot at all my whole entire body feels like there is ants on it, like pins and needles. I also had an mri on my neck and I had two disc that where slightly messed up. What should I do. I’m just ready to live a normal life again. All I do is worry. The other day I was grilling with my buddy and I felt like I had a knife going into my head behind my right ear. Someone help me please.
Hi there. I have been in the grip of huge health anxiety for the last 3 months due to some unexplained health problems so I understand exactly how you are feeling. It has severely affected my life and I am still very much struggling with my mental and physical health. However I hope I can give you some reassurance here. From what you have said it seems mostlikely that the headaches you have are from the disc problems in your neck? Did the doctors say that you need any treatment for the discs?
The skin feeling of insects crawling is a classic anxiety symptom, it has happened to me and to many people I know who suffer with anxiety or have had breakdowns. It is the hardest thing to do to try not to worry, but trust me all it does is make things worse. The mind is very powerful and can make you very ill. Speak to the doctors about your neck, get advice about the painkillers you are on and many will make headaches worse if used longterm. Most painkillers are only designed to be used for a maximum of 8 weeks and then they are largely ineffective and as I say can actually contribute to pain. Also I would advise you ask your doctor to give you details of a counselling service or psychiatrist who can help you with your anxiety.
Best wishes x
Also please stop having CT scans. The radiation will do you far more damage than your headache.

I would be over the moon to have a clean bill of health. Most people have neck problems, most are caused by how you sit, or the way you walk. The disks in the neck are the finest in the spine and that is why posture is one of the main problems you could have. Sometimes if you are lifting at work that can also cause problems. Many people do not know how to lift, that can and does cause neck problems as we are supposed to lift with a straight spine and lift with our legs tucking our chin into our body to support the neck, your feet are supposed to be located around the lift at forty five degrees. If you are going to a gym and weight lift that can also cause stress.
Try and move away from your fears of a Brain Aneurysm, if you had one of those it would have been picked up in those tests you had.
When was the last time you had your eyes checked, in the UK we are supposed to have them tested every two years. Sometimes even less, headaches can be caused by eye strain
When it comes to health anxiety, do you know what caused your problem. To know the cause may be a great help in your recovery.
