Yes very common. I finished my period on Tuesday been having bad headaches and heart palps that ended today and last night i had to go pick up my son from the train station and thought i wouldn’t make it. The lights bothered me and i felt so nauseous around the wheel. Today i am feeling weak in the legs and a little off balanced. But feeling better than yesterday. Everyday something. God help us women, Hugs
Migraines have become a daily event for me in menopause. Visual disturbances, vertigo, sensitivity to light and chemical smells, shaky legs, pressure etc. I am 50 and feel 80
I get them too. Usually before but often enough after and also during ovulation. It used to be just before when I was younger but now that I am peri, it is way more often. Sounds like a migraine if you are sensitive to sound and light. It is awful. Nothing but the migraine meds from Dr. work for me.
dittooo with me..same symtoms ![]()
Me too Tracy. My symptoms are daily and include visual issues, sensitive to light, trouble re-focusing my eyes, neck pain, pain around my left eye, head pressure, terrible anxiety and the list goes on and on. I am 43 and feel like I am so much older too. I have been diagnosed with chronic migraine by a neurologist, but I think that was just to appease me because nobody has come up with anything else! I have just been to so many specialists and had so many tests. Now I am starting to have gynecological issues as well. I know this is all hormonal, I just hope that it doesn’t last forever… Take care Karen, you are definitely not alone ![]()
Mine are the first day of my period…like clockwork for the past 8 years (44).
my silent migraines are daily too for last few years, chronic migraines thanks to all the hormones. they get worse around periods. OTC meds don’t help at all, I try to alternate heat/cold which makes a tiny bit better. I get head and ear pressure with headaches. I also hope it passes soon.
It is amazing what hormones can do and the symptoms it can cause. I also use heat/cold packs for my neck and eye pain/aches. I really hope that these ease for us both maybe once peri menopause is over and the body adapts to the lack of hormones.
