Headaches on Citalopram after 12 weeks

i have a constant headache after 12 weeks on cit is this normal ?

Unfortunately, headaches can be a side effect, yes. I’m pretty sure I saw Paula post that she had migraines which were a side effect.

definitely a side effect.take some Tylenol.

Hi Nicola, headaches were definitely a side effect for me. You may be lucky and they disappear as you have only been on them for 12 weeks. Also, make sure you drink more fluids as Citalopram has a tendency to reduce fluids in our bodies which can also contribute. I am 6 weeks off the medication, so am still finding out if my hemiplegic migraines were caused by them or not, so far so good though.

paula thanks for ur reply . im hoping my headaches will go too as theyvr just a pain and nagging more than anything
