Hello,
I have been having 24/7 headaches for 3 years now. Additionally, it feels like a part of my brain is not working, and I have trouble concentrating and remembering certain things. I have the sensation that I am constantly living in a dream.
The headache appeared suddenly out of nowhere one day. It is better in the morning and gets worse progressively throughout the day. My condition seems to improve slightly when I lay down. Physical and mental exercise both make it worse.
Doctors do not know what it is, and a brain MRI has failed to detect anything. Any clues?
Thank you.
Hello. You could have something called a spinal leak. Did you ever have a lumbar puncture or hit your head? The symptoms that you are describing are similar to that. Look it up and see if anything sounds familiar to what is going on with you. Hope you feel better soon.
Hello Tree49. I've never had lumbar puncture, but it may be relevant to mention that at the time when the symptoms started, I was involved in heavy and fequent physical excercise as I was training for special forces in the army.
I would go back to your neurologist and let them know that you think you might have a leak. And these don’t always show on an MRI. They have to do additional testing that can be done.
Thank you. Do you know if those other tests are conclusive?
I am not sure. You do want to go to someone that is familiar with them. I don’t know what state you live in but their are some places that specialize in it. Hope you find answers soon. 😊
