Healing dry skin on left side of penis?

Hi all,
I’ve been trying to combat what seems some dry skin specifically on the left side of my penis. I’m not sure if I’m just imagining this or not, so that’s why I made a post here.

I believe I have been trying to do this for at least two weeks to a month, so I am getting kinda annoyed by it and don’t know what to do. I believe what caused it is due to me using a benyzol peroxide wash in early December on an area near my left thigh, so I’m guessing it may have damaged my penile skin due to nearby contact, even though I never applied it to it directly.

I have tried repairing the skin using Vaseline / Neosporin for about a week, but it didn’t seem to help. So I tried switching to a hydrocortisone cream for about three or four days but got scared of damaging the skin (as I have used it prior to this) and wasn’t sure if it was helping. So I recently switched to using a gentle moisturizer and then layering coconut oil on top for about four days now. Texture wise, the left side doesn’t seem as smooth / oily and has some sort of like feeling if you rub across the skin, if that makes sense, where the right side seems smooth / undamaged? Not sure how to describe it, so I attached pictures of both sides to try and visually show it,

Advice would be much appreciated.

Anyone have any advice? Would be highly appreciated

The combination of all the things you have tried to resolve this with can become part of the problem.
So, your initial idea of what you applied to your left thigh could have started the problem.
Penile skin once it is damaged can take a great deal of time to heal.
Switch to simply using water only to clean your penis with - when showering do NOT apply soap or any body wash such as shower gel to your penis.
End a shower by fully rinsing your penile skin, rub the upper part of your penis with the inside of your hand, fingers and fingertips to clean it.
Make sure you remove all traces of moisture from your entire penis with a dry towel that only you use.
I would suggest you do this for at least 4 to 5 months then you will be able to tell whether the skin is healing or not

Hi brandon82473, I’m going through something similar and it’s been 2 months and the texture of the skin is still different! Any updates on your end? Thanks!
