I've been having cognitive behaviour therapy and counselling and really thought I'd made huge progress with controlling my health anxiety.
Then my periods decided to go irregular (probably caused by the anxiety and stress) and then go AWOL. My GP put me on the pill microgynon 30 and I've been feeling very down since. I don't know whether its psychological as I've read side effects and know it can cause depression. I'm also getting awful stomach aches, lower abdominal pains and a really bad back. I don't know whether its the pill, I'm I'll or whether my health anxiety is making me think I'm ill when I'm not.
Anyone else had problems when on microgynon?
Hi, I also suffer from health anxiety. I take cerelazette because I suffer from migraines. I don't have a period, I have taken microgrynon in the past, but it gave me spots so I stopped it. Your symptoms could well be related as the pill can do funny things to us.
I don't know exactly what pill it was I took I have migrains so it's a diffrent one to normal my periods are really irregular so the pill made me really emotional and mood swings I thought it was all in my head until my partners sister also experienced problems she was crying for no reason and all sorts I think it's because it's trying to balance your hormones and trying to get your body used to it so then you react in this way I stopped taking the pill also ended up with a baby lol xx
Thanks both of you. I've decides to stop the pill today. No chance of another pregnancy for me as I think I'm driving my partner mad with my anxiety so we rarely talk to each other.
I'm feeling so down since I've started microgynon and the pains are awful so will see what happens when its out my body x
