Hello,
9 months ago I’ve been diagnosed with health anxiety. Most of the times it’s focused around my heart and I can deal with it okay-ish.
For 5 months now I’ve had a cough, it’s not very often and feels more like a tic. I also experienced shortness of breath but I guess that’s just when anxiety is high. I went to a pulmonologist and he diagnosed me with asthma (I still don’t really believe it because he had run one test and just told me to take a cortisone spray). When I first took the Cortisone spray (I took it just for one day) the cough was gone for two weeks. It came back for another month and a few days ago I decided to give the spray another chance. This time I took it for 3 days and the cough was still there (a bit better but still there). Since one day now I’m experiencing a wheezing when exhaling and I even took my other inhaler for asthma attacks. The wheezing is still there and I’m curious if it could just be my anxiety causing the wheezing and coughing all along?
