So I had two panic attacks 3 months ago and ever since I've always thought that something is wrong with my health, each anxiety symptom I get such as chest pain, shortness of breath keeps adding to the thought that somethings wrong with me, I need help, I currently go to a psychologist but I don't feel like anything is getting better and my thoughts keep coming back, every time I try to forget and change the topic of my brain, symptoms occur and the thoughts come back.
Hi Zaher, you could try cognitive behavioural therapy which you could talk to you psychologist about. It can take time before things start to improve but don’t lose faith. Try to carry on with normal life as this will help you. I know how hard it is but it’s a fight you can win.
Hey,
I had similar thoughts and was afraid of a stroke or heart attack. I've gotten a lot better though with CBT and breathing exercises. If your therapist isn't helping...go find another one. It took me 1 month to start feeling better after I got the proper help but you need to put into practice everyday what you learn and work hard at your anixety...good luck my friend.
Thanks for your response guys it definitely makes me feel better, I also fear a heart attack and that somethings wrong but I’ve done scans and it’s fine so it’s just in my brain and ofcourse the physical symptoms it’s driving me crazy like I wasn’t like this 3 months ago
Yeah the symptoms are the worse part. Hard to convince yourself you are fine when your brain manifests all these symptoms that purposefully replicate the issue you think is wrong but seriously try to test it on something else. Like lay on your right arm until it goes numb and see if your brain jumps to any conclusions about it. If it does you know it's anxiety, no what I mean?
Yes I understand what you meant by that, I do a similar thing where I walk on the treadmill for 30 mins and when I get off I can feel my heart beating fast and my brain jumps to conclusions but I try to ignore them
I need more responses please help me
