Health anxiety - bounding pulse in abdomen

I am just looking for a little reassurance as I seem to be looking for health issues where there aren’t any and making myself ill from anxiety. My heart bounds so forcefully. I’ve had various checks but they all come back okay. I’m just lying down on my bed and when i press between my ribs and belly button I get a really strong pulsing sensation. My rational mind says it’s just my aorta made slightly stronger by my anxiety, but my irrational mind says it’s an aneurysm. I’m 38 years old. Does anyone else have this? I can also see my belly moving with my pulse.

it’s absolutely normal! You would have so many other symptoms like severe pain if you had a problem with your aorta.
Actually, be very grateful that you can see the pulsations of your aorta because that means it is pumping oxygenated blood to your entire body! when I lie down I can see it and feel it which is very relieving to me!
You are definitely over thinking this. Get busy with things and really it’s important to stay out of your head. Most of what we come up with in our minds is not based on fact or reality. It’s only based on fear which is not rational. besides, abdominal aortic aneurysm‘s are mainly found in middle aged men who have been smokers. Of course anyone can get that but this is the main category of people who are the MUCH higher percentage of getting it.
If you are young, so is your aorta. So rest easy and don’t believe everything you think!

omg, i am exactly the same as you. . . i have been there with the pulse. but that was so long ago, i had forgotten. . if i am feeling well, i look for a problemThe covid situation doesnt help. not easy to see a Dr and they are my comfort blanket.. . at the moment, on just one side of my body i have, on and of, a tight sensation in my hip, waist area and groin. my spine feels warm. . . mornings are ok, but by late afternoon it starts up. . . i also suffer with Vaginitus Atrophy, which is just becoming eased with hormone cream. but i think, is it ovarian cancer, is it a tumour in my stomach, or on my spine. . . . i am anxious any sympton is cancer. i drive myself mad. . . . are there a few people like me out there? i thought it was just me. Thanks for listening.
