Health anxiety doesn't stop no matter what day it is.

It's nice to be home with family but it doesn't stop the worrying. It doesn't stop me from googling symptoms or worrying about every little pain. It doesn't stop the empty feelings that I have. It doesn't stop my mind from constantly thinking. How do you shut that off and enjoy the moments?

I'm in the same boat. I take Lexapro 10mg which is suppose to help with anxiety, it's helped a tiny bit. But what I've found relaxing is listening to youtube videos of anxiety relaxation meditation. I listen to it every morning and before bed, and it honestly does help you go through the day. If you start to worry, just listen to one and put your head down and close your eyes and listen to what they say. Easier said than done I know, but trust me.. it'll help! Hopefully we can get over this together soon!

Kim, I worried like you for over twenty years and nothing bad ever happened.  I can never get back those “moments “ you mentioned.

what a waste worry is. It is a very useless emotion because it’s not based on fact but only on fear. You are  most likely a very healthy person who could be enjoying your life. Please don’t do what I did.

People have all kinds of aches and pains and 95 percent of them are not serious. When you Google you are scaring yourself for no reason because what is said  on there does not pertain to your in  individual situation. They are giving you worst-case scenario‘s which is only a small percentage. Stop googling or you will develop symptoms  and keep thinking you have something terrible.

You were letting fear take you over when you don’t have to. Don’t waste your life doing this believe me it’s not worth it! Go to YouTube and listen to some meditations for anxiety and also some for overthinking things. You need to learn how to put things in perspective and these meditations help you do that.

Life goes by way too fast. Enjoy those special moments with your family. Laugh and smile and do things that relax you. The more you sit around thinking about little symptoms the worst they will get. Remember you can never get any days back that you wasted and fear and worry.

I feel you. I'm not even in Christmas spirit nor am I looking forward to family because if this 😩

Do you find your pupils constantly dialated? It's starting to really bother me!

I too have health anxiety and im going through a bad time at the min but jan couldnt be more right. We get r hard days r very hard days even r crippling days but some days  we get ok days or happy days and just remember how precious life is. Look at ur family and be so so greatful because the thing is worry pr dont the outcome is the same nobody knows tomorrow.  We have to try and remember thete are people out there actually dying and still living for the moment. I am the same for google but its the worst honestly i am way better when i dont turn to it.

Merry christmas and enjoy ur day as best u can.

Listen to a meditation in the morning xxx

Thabk you all for the encouraging words. I hope you all have a great time with family and friends.

I can totally relate to that. Its hard to shut out everything esle. Im sorry that the mind is a full time computer chip that has access to every moment whether u like it or not and hits u at all odd times.

All the best as i too am travelling that path of restlesssness and anxiety.

How does it hit at night while I'm sleeping and I wake up panicked. It takes me a while to calm down.

Yup! My pupils are always dilated. People with high stress/anxiety tend to constantly have dilated pupils, it's nothing to worry about!
