Health Anxiety Overwhelming

This will sound a little crazy, but I feel I need help... I few months back, after a health scare I developed an undiagnosed health anxiety- constant googling of symptoms, assessing my body, thinking about illness, etc. After a couple weeks of this I developed this total body itch/tingling/creepy-crawling sensation, which sent that anxiety into overdrive. I have had this sensation for over 3 months now, and after endless googling have myself convinced it's some ultra-rare parasitic disease- my bloods and tests are all normal, and it is not an allergy. My doc has given me beta-blockers to try, but they don't ease my itching symptoms, and I'm now terrified of having any close contact with anyone in case I pass it on. I have not been diagnosed with anything, and the fear of not knowing what this is is starting to affect me day-to-day; I would have thought after 3 months that anxiety or stress symptoms would subside... Could this just be anxiety/stress?? I have no other symptoms asides from some fatigue, but in my head that means things can only get worse. Can anyone offer any advice?

Yes.  Those symptoms can all be anxiety stress related. I have had all of those when I was in my 20s. I have had anxiety my entire life and when it flares up I may get a symptom or two but I basically ignore them now.

try not to google any symptoms because they do not pertain to your individual situation and they will only scare you for nothing. Trust me, I’ve been through this more times than I can count and the more you tell your brain something is wrong, the more symptoms you will have. The key is to relax your mind as much as possible. Anxiety and stress management is the answer to feeling better.

There are some great meditations on YouTube for anxiety, stress, Overthinking, sleep etc. so many to choose from! They completely relax my mind body and symptoms. Symptoms related to anxiety is your body’s way of telling you there’s too much stress. Do things that relax you and make you feel good and smile. Sometimes speaking with a counselor can be very helpful in management of this. Don’t take life too seriously and get some exercise and eat healthy  overthinking, sleep etc. so many to choose from! Those are just some things that have helped me along the way. Your tests are normal just remember that.

You’re going to be OK even with those symptoms. If you pay too much attention to your symptoms they will only get worse.  And when you have the symptoms, just take a relaxed matter of fact attitude towards them.

Take care 🙂❤️

I second jan on thIs

dont manifest about what it can be and google symtoms will imply you have every ilness . Try to focus on other things and accept it's anxiety so start to focus only on that .
