I’ve been itching down there there’s not smell or anything it isn’t the inside of my vagina that itches it’s like the top where the pubic hair mainly grows I googled it and it says I could have crabs but I haven’t had sex in about 4 years is that the only cause for itching ? My anxiety is freaking me out because I feel like I’ll die at any moment it started right after my period ended which was a week ago its not an all day thing but one time out of the day it’ll itch there but then it goes away I’m terrified I have crabs which just seems impossible

I had the same thing, nothing was wrong. If it continues to itch avoid scented pads or toilet paper, creams, bubble bath, feminine sprays, and douches. Also use water and a plain, unscented soap to regularly clean your external genital area.. Always wipe from front to back after having a bowel movement. Don't scratch -- you can further irritate the area.

Ok first off -

You haven’t had sex in a while, so rule that out like immediately now let’s get to the TMI stuff

1. Have you manicured differently? Skin down there is sensitive, and if it’s been “styled” differently, aka different way of removing hair, or not removing hair at all - can cause this sometimes. Are you itching only one spot? 

2. Wearing new underwear or using new products? Evaluate this because it can make a difference. 

3. The more likely (saying this only because it sounds familiar) is that you may have a mild yeast infection which is an easy fix - try eating more yogurt, probiotic supplements and reduce your sugar intake for a few days. Also, there are several over the counter solutions at your local pharmacy. Things to look for that may indicate yeast infection: white dots or discharge coming out, no smell, itchiness inside or externally, painful urination. Yeast infections can also go away on their own, and are not much to worry about. It’s basically your pH levels are a little off, and just need to be reset. Hope that helps!
