does anyone else have this extreme deliberating worry about their health.
I lost my dad last year to mesothelioma (asbestos cancer) of stomach lining. Since then my anxiety of health has got so bad. I asked for a scan of my pelvis and abdomen and the radiologist said all fine, just you have a few stones in your gall bladder. I was OK with this. I went to the doctors for my full results, he said everything seems fine you just have few polyps in your gall bladder we see this a lot and no further action needed. I was like well are you sure??? he said yes they would of said to refer you if anything didn't look right. I demanded to see a consultant but I don't really want to because Im now even more worried what he's going to say OMG help me, if its alright why cant I accept this he said its fine and that consultants have looked at it anyway and said it was fine.
Hi Lisa,
first sorry about bout your loss losing parents is a hard thing and something I think is hard to accept. Yes, I suffer badly even worse since losing my Mam to bladder cancer. When we have seen their insidious symptom turn out to be something else it makes us thing. It’s not in your head it’s something that understandably can happen also as we question our own mortality. GPS aren’t very understanding of this well mine aren’t anyhow. Things that we would normally pass off become our focus as if we think a sixth sense is telling us it’s something serious when it isn’t. X
Sorry about spelling it’s the stupid spell check after posting, it seems to alter it

I had stones in my Gallbladder removed about ten years ago or so, they prefer not to operate and remove this organ. To be honest if you have gallstones that need to be removed you will know about it the pain is very severe,
All I can say in my case the whole gall bladder was taken, I would have preferred not to have been taken down that pathway, although it was required. If it is not broken do not fix it comes to mind, Follow Specialist and GP advice. When they took out my Gallbladder they lost the stones, the specialist was not very happy with the person who performed the operation. I wanted the stones as a talking point Lol

I'd say if the doctors insist you are okay, they are probably right, though if it helps you feel better you could try for a second opinion?
I've been having really bad health anxiety as of late as well. I always think something is wrong with my heart even though I've been to Urgent Care twice and they've said it's just anxiety. Waiting for my health insurance to kick in in January so I can get tests done just to be sure.
Anxiety likes to tell us otherwise, but if the doctors say it's okay, trust in them, otherwise the anxiety will never go away! Let me know how it goes for you and if you find any techniques to help relieve the anxiety. I wish you the best!
