Health anxiety

Had tender left breast after a bad cough. Went to Dr said there was no lump and breast looked normal but have convinced myself I have breast Paget disease. Got to the point I have told my kids to make sure my grandkids never forget me. Can't go on like this. Any suggestions.l am 59years old.

Have you had any testing done? Blood work or a mammogram? I mean at 59 years old you don't have to have a lump to have a mammogram done. I would see about getting one scheduled. If you have already had testing done and it came back normal, try to focus on the anxiety, rather that the what ifs. If you aren't already being seen by a therapist for your anxiety I would suggest you try it.

Your GP has suggested you are ok with no lumps or bumps, move on now and stop upsetting your children.

When was the last time your breasts were checked at hospital ?  Trust your GP and enjoy your life and kids.

You are fifty nine years old, take your life and run with it, you are lucky to have your children. I would suggest forget about your Anxiety.

The cough could be caused by the time of years there are many people with coughs and barks at the moment welcome to the world

Has your GP suggested a cough bottle etc.

Keep in mind that our health fears are  not based on fact or reality. There is no test that showed you have Paget Disease.  Negative thinking has taken over and has convinced you that you have this.

Please don’t scare your kids over something that has not been confirmed. They carry that around with them  and that is a huge burden for them to think about.  Have another talk with them on a more positive note .

“What if “ thinking is a complete waste of time. I did that for over 20 years and nothing bad ever happened. I can never get one of those days back again that I wasted. Enjoy your life and your kids because life flies by too fast!

there are some great meditations on YouTube for overthinking, anxiety, depression, etc. they have helped me a lot. Check them out!
